KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A local family is proof rescue dogs can change your life.
Trixie was featured on 41 Action News Midday on Thursday, and after the McKinzie family saw her, they rescued her from Wayside Waifs.
Dan McKinzie told 41 Action News that his son cried when he heard about the abuse some animals endure, so they were thankful to be able to rescue a dog like Trixie.
