KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A double murder that happened two decades ago  remains unsolved.

Family members, friends and strangers gathered in the 2000 block of Lister on Sunday afternoon to share their grief.

It was 21 years ago when two people were shot and killed inside of  Kansas City home as a young child was in a nearby crib. The victims were  30-year-old Reginald Givhan, Sr. and his girlfriend and the child's mother, 21-year-old Latanya Cornelius.

Both were shot to death on February 18, 1992.

Debra Givhan-Pointer is Reginald's sister.  She believes her brother knew his killer.

"There was no sign of forced entry, so they must have known each other," Givhan-Pointer said. "We need to find out who did this, we need closure."

Givhan left behind 10 children. Cornelius' one child, a little boy was at the murder scene, but unharmed. He was too young to remember what happened.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
