KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City firefighter was injured while fighting a blaze at a vacant house early Thursday.
Crews were called to a report of fires at nearby vacant homes in the 3800 block of Flora a little after 4:30 a.m.
A fire department spokesman said the firefighter sustained only minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital as a precaution.
The fires may have been intentionally set, according to the Kansas City Fire Department. The two homes were separated by an occupied house that sustained no damage.
