OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - It’s been a year and a half since an accidental house fire tragically took the life of young Taylor Jackson. The 8-year-old was in the 3rd grade and enjoyed being in the Girl Scouts.
In honor of her love for others, friends will hold the 2nd annual pancake breakfast this weekend with proceeds going to the Taylor Jackson Scholarship Fund. The fund makes sure no girl scout is left behind when it comes to attending camp.
The event is Saturday, March 16 from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Oak Park Applebee’s at 12242 95th Street in Lenexa, Kan. A short stack is $6, and all the proceeds go to scholarship fund. There will also be door prizes.
