KANSAS CITY, Mo. - What started as a site to beautify the street has now become the scene of a crime.
Director of Youth and Adult Services at Mattie Rhodes Center Alisha Gambino said the center had begun work on a mural at Independece Avenue and Norton Avenue as part of their graffiti abatement program.
A Mattie Rhodes Center staffer arrived to the mural site on Friday to find the garage where $800 worth of paint and art supplies had been stored had been broken into.
In addition to the art supplies, a power washer was taken.
If anyone wants to help the center or knows any details, please call 816-471-2536.
