Police block road on report of hand grenade near Kansas City intersection

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Police Department Bomb and Arson Squad blocked off an intersection Monday after the discovery of what was believed to be a hand grenade.
Officers were called to the side of the roadway at 32nd & Wallace just before 7:30 a.m.
Authorities determined after about an hour it was not a hand grenade and deemed it safe.
