Highway 7 crash in Cass County kills Garden City man

GARDEN CITY, Mo. - A 66-year-old Garden City, Mo., man died in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning.
A Missouri Highway Patrol crash report states Jackie Powell was traveling north about 9 a.m. on Sycamore Grove Road, just north of Garden City, Mo.
Powell failed to yield and pulled into the path of a van.
The van, driven by a 38-year-old Overland Park man , truck Powell's Ford F-150
Powell died in the collision
The driver of the van sustained minor injuries in the crash.
All lanes of traffic reopened by a little after 11 a.m.
