KANSAS CITY, Mo. - There was a lot of loading, unloading and standing at Kansas City International Airport Saturday. Passengers headed to their New Year's destinations were unpleasantly surprised by the long lines.
Everett Garwood and his wife were headed to Nevada after spending Christmas in Stillwell, Kan.
"We're not used to seeing lines this long,” Garwood said. “Thankfully, they're moving fast.
Airport officials said the airport will be busy for the next couple of days as people wrap up their holiday travels and head back home.
