KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Homeless teens in the metro received some extra help Tuesday night, from workers with Kids TLC, Synergy and reStart Inc.
The group walked through the Plaza and Westport area, looking for teens who live on the streets.
They traveled with green bags, that held things like food, water, clothing and hygiene products for the homeless.
The group says they will be out every week, making the route around the city.
"We want to get to know people on the way, and just let people know that if they don't have somewhere to go, they can come talk to us", said Student At Reach supervisor Jason Stary.
Organizers with the group estimate, there are nearly 4,000 homeless teens in the Kansas City area, on any given night.
