KANSAS CITY, Missouri - Investigators have determined what caused the three-alarm mosque fire Monday morning.

Battalion Chief Joseph Vitale announced Wednesday that the fire has been ruled accidental.

Vitale said that an electrical problem started the fire on the first floor of the building.

The damage to the structure is estimated at $175,000, with an additional $25,000 in damage to the contents of the mosque.
