KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A commuter rail line may be coming to Jackson County, Mo.
This proposed line would run from Kansas City to Independence, Blue Springs and Grain Valley, with stops in each city.
The plan was discussed Tuesday night at a a public meeting held by the Jackson County Mid-America Regional Council in the River Market.
"It will be a combination of things -- It is not one size fits all. It's not about a street car or a commuter rail-line. It's about how all of these modes work together to form a comprehensive public transportation system," Tom Gerend with Mid-America Regional Council said.
County officials are still trying to determine how these transportation projects will be funded.
