OVERLAND PARK, Kan - Stacy Jegen, an Overland Park mother of two, spent Monday at a birthday party with her four-year-old son -- but her mind couldn't help but drift to football.

Jegen attended every single home game at Arrowhead Stadium this season, and she hopes her loyalty will pay off. She thinks the Kansas City Chief’s new general manager, John Dorsey, will get the job done.

“I think John Dorsey is going to be a great addition. He is coming from the Green Bay Packers, which has a tradition of being great year after year and going to the playoffs and having great fan support,” she said.

“He was a part of getting in some of their key players like, Jordy Nelson and Aaron Rogers. I think that with his background, he is really going to help us use those draft picks well,” she added.

Nikki Curry, a mother of three, said she would like to see the Chiefs return to their glory days.

“It seems like right now all the things Chiefs fans have wanted, have happened. They got rid of the coach, they got rid of the GM, it seem like things are moving in the right direction,” she said.

Curry’s son is five years old, and she plans to start bringing him to Chiefs games. She hopes he grows up in an era where the Chiefs are great.
