KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police are working to determine if the discovery of a man with burns on a Kansas City sidewalk is connected to a house fire and burglary call.
According to the Kansas City Police Department, fire crews were called a little after 1 a.m. to the 4500 block of Chelsea on a house fire.
Their investigation revealed the home had also been burglarized.
Later Monday morning, a man with second-degree burns on his body was found calling for help near 51st and Olive, about 2.5 miles away from the fire.
The man was rushed to an area hospital while crews continue to investigate.
