KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Bicyclists in Kansas City will now be able to enjoy more lanes, trails and routes.
Tuesday night, the city released an updated Bike KC map, highlighting 34 miles of bike lanes, 65 miles of trails and 352 miles of signed bike routes.
This is the first time Kansas City has had a bike facilities map. There have only been six miles of bike lanes since 2002.
"Having these on-street bike facilities that connect to our trail system allows us to have a truly multi-model transportation system -- providing that space for bicyclists, pedestrians, as well as cars," explained bicycle pedestrian coordinator Deb Ridgway.
You can find the update map on the city's website at www.kcmo.org/bikekc .
