KANSAS CITY, Mo. - While the public waits to find out more information, strangers gathered Saturday morning to honor Chad Rogers, the missing Liberty, Mo., runner found dead.
The KC Dog Runners dedicated today's run with shelter dogs at the Great Plains SPCA to Rogers.
Organizers say they made the decision to dedicate the run to Rogers because they wanted to honor a fellow runner.
"While we might not have any direct connection with him, there is such a tight-knit community of runners in Kansas City so we share the love of running,” Rachel Hodgson of the Great Plains SPCA said.
