KANSAS CITY, Missouri - Several local law enforcement agencies are teaming up to promote crime prevention in the “Night Out Against Crime.” The free event will take place Saturday, July 31 from 5 to 8:30pm in Oak Grove Park in Kansas City, Missouri.

The purpose of the event is to educate citizens about ways to prevent crime and promote positive relationships between citizens and law enforcement agencies.

The event will feature free food music by the band “Midnight Station.” Some of the attractions will be the Kansas City Missouri police department’s helicopter unit, canine unit and equestrian unit. The Night Out Against Crime will also feature door prizes for children and adults as well as gift baskets and gift certificates.

Law enforcement agencies participating in the event will be from Kansas City, Missouri, Claycomo, Clay County, Gladstone, Liberty, Pleasant Valley and Riverside.
