KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City School Board is losing another member.
Derek Richey, a Sub-district 2 representative, plans to resign to take a job in Tennessee. He has been on the board since 2008.
"It has been an honor to serve the students, parents, and citizens of Kansas City over the past four years," Richey said in a statement. "The work has been both challenging and rewarding. I wish Dr. Green and the Board continued success."
The board will consider his resignation during a meeting on Wednesday.
