KCMO police investigate suspicious death

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Police Department is investigating the suspicious death of a woman whose body was found in the Northland.
Shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to North Eastern Avenue and Northeast 120th Street.
When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the body of a woman near the side of the road.
She was later identified as 40-year-old Tamara R. Sparks.
Sgt. Stacey Graves with the Kansas City Police Department said the cause of death has not yet been determined. It is still considered a suspicious death investigation.
An investigation is underway, and anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the police department or CrimeStoppers at (816) 474-TIPS.
