KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A man was found unconscious on the second floor of a burning home early Tuesday morning.
Kansas City firefighters were called to 22nd and Brighton at about 2:45 a.m. on a report of a house fire.
Arriving crews found heavy flames coming from the second floor. The man was pulled from the house and transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
The fire was reported under control by about 3:30 a.m., but c rews remained on scene for a while after that to put out hot spots.
There was no immediate word on what may have started the fire.
