KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Fire destroyed the Westport Presbyterian Church in late December 2011, but it did not damage the spirits of those at the congregation.

Many services were held at the church, including Westport Cooperative Services that provides Meals on Wheels to people in Jackson County.

The group lost many of their files, computers, and furniture in the fire.

But since the fire, they've made some progress and moved into the Central Presbyterian Church and received furniture and other donations.

Pamela Seymour told 41 Action News they'll remain at the church for a few years.

The cause of the Westport fire was ruled accidental.
