She lived in Kansas City on the Plaza for 26 years, Keyes said.
Megan graduated with an undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She's also a graduate of the UMKC School of Law.
Keyes said Megan helped found the first chapter of the Lesbian and Gay Student Group at UMKC.
Jim Wanser was the faculty advisor at the time Megan was an undergraduate and remembers her fondly.
"Megan was very smart, very tenacious, and lived her values. So greatly missed," Wanser said.
She is survived by her parents, Carter and Genny Cramer, her sister, Stephanie Cramer, and her niece, August McGrail.
