OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The University of Kansas football team honored the Shawnee Mission West High School football player who died this week.
Andre Maloney died after suffering a stroke during a game Thursday night. The senior had committed to play football for the Jayhawks starting next year.
Before Saturday’s game, the team held a moment of silence to honor Maloney.
Family and friends plan to host a memorial service for Maloney Sunday night. It starts at 6 p.m. at the Shawnee Mission West practice field
