KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial honors a woman who died on the other side of the world.

A wreath at the museum honors Florence Green, of King's Lynn, England. She was the last known veteran from World War I.

The 110-year-old died on Saturday.

She began serving in the women's royal air force in 1918 when she was only 17.

Last February, the last known American World War I veteran, Frank Buckles, died.
