KANSAS CITY, Mo. - An Omaha, Neb., man died in an early morning accident in the construction zone on Interstate 35 near the Cambridge Circle exit.
Kansas City, Mo., Police identified the dead man Saturday night as Mick (Tyler) Frederes.
The one-car crash occurred just before 3 a.m. on northbound I-35, closing the lanes and snarling traffic.
According to investigators, Frederes’s Honda Accord hit a piece of construction equipment that was on the highway near the Cambridge Circle exit. That stretch of highway is currently narrowed down to two lanes due to road construction.
