OVERLANDPARK, Kan -

When you walk into the HerLife Magazine studio in Overland Park you see a row of magazines proudly displayed on the wall.

You can also find them all over Kansas City.

HerLife staff publishes 25,000 copies of the magazine each month and distributes them throughout the Metro.

“They can find them at medical offices, beauty salons, dental offices, fitness centers and coffee shops,” said publisher Lindsay Aydelotte.

Publisher and magazine founder, Lindsay Aydelotte developed HerLife Magazine after leaving the corporate world to stay home to raise her youngest daughter Payton.

“I used a lot of the parenting magazines as resources to see what was going on for the activities for my child but there was nothing I could find for activities for me and my husband,” said Aydelotte.

Aydelotte has an MBA in entrepreneurship, so developing creative solutions was something she was good at.

“We just researched and researched and researched,” she said.

In October 2007, Aydelotte launched her first HerLife Magazine and now it is published in several cities including California, Florida and Colorado.

“To think that we could take such a small operation that started here in Overland Park, Kansas and grow it to where it is affecting so many other people,” said Michelle Carder, an account manager who has been with the magazine for years.

Aydelotte and her staff of nine also brought another major event for women to the Metro.

“The Just for Her Expo began four years ago. It was a way with the economy going down, down, down we could help these small businesses,” said Aydelotte.

In May, Aydelotte will launch the third edition of her latest publication called Prime.

Prime is geared toward older adults.

From Herlife Magazine to the "Just for Her Expo" to her latest publication, Prime, Aydelotte has been a force in Kansas City, keeping women connected.

The "Just for Her Expo" is June 1 st through 3 rd at the Overland Park Convention Center.
