KANSAS CITY, Mo. - About 100 firefighers battled a massive blaze sparked by an apparent explosion at a popular restaurant on Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza, the fire chief said in a late-evening news conference.
Kansas City Fire Chief Paul Berardi says about 65 fought the fire itself, while another 25 to 30 checked neighboring businesses and homes for fire damage.
