KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Police have made an arrest in connection with the assault of a Metro bus driver.
Police Chief Darryl Forte sent the following Tweet early Friday evening:
KCATA bus driver assault suspect in custody. Case file will be presented to the JA County Prosecutor's Office in the morning.
According to law enforcement officials, the driver was punched in the face around 9 p.m. on Monday at 39th and Indiana in Kansas City, Mo. He sustained serious injuries from the blow and was knocked unconscious.

KCATA released a statement Wednesday night that said the bus driver is recovering and has returned to work. They also thanked the public for their support and help locating the suspect.
