KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police have identified the man killed in a crash in the underground parking garage at Union Station Wednesday.
Authorities said 68-year-old Leonard Prestia, of Gladstone, Mo., died when he became pinned between his vehicle and the door.
Presetia was leaving the parking garage in his white Ford truck when he dropped his money outside of the vehicle. Police said he opened the door and leaned out to get the parking fare when the truck lurched forward, pinning him.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two children were in the truck at the time of the incident. They were not injured.
