KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Human remains were found in a burned truck at Blue Valley Park in Kansas City, Mo.
Police were alerted to the charred body at 23rd and Topping after a call from an anonymous tipster around 6 p.m. Thursday.
For now, police say they're treating the body as a suspicious death, but the homicide squad is assisting in the investigation.
"Just in case it is a homicide, they don't to have any missteps in the investigation," explained Marisa Barnes, with the Kansas City Police Department. "You do everything as if it is a homicide, and if it turns out it's not then we have still dotted our 'i's' and crossed our 't's'."
Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
