KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City police are investigating after a neighbor found a toddler wandering alone outside, and two more children left unattended inside the East Hills Village Apartments.
It happened Thursday around 11:15 a.m. near 76th and Monroe. Authorities tell 41 Action News the neighbor saw the boy, believed to be between the ages of one and two, wandering around the area.
When the neighbor went inside the nearby apartment, she found two infant twins inside.
Around 12:30 p.m., police located the mother. She told police she went to another apartment in the complex and was gone around 20 minutes. Police said she is likely to face charges.
