Independence, Mo. - An Independence man collapsed and died Tuesday.
John Watzlawick, 57, was a postman in Independence. Watzlawick reportedly collapsed and died while delivering mail in the blistering heat.
His wife, Kay Watzlawick, said that he wasn't feeling well the day before. But when he called his supervisor and asked to go home early on Monday, she said he was told no.
It is unknown if his death is heat-related.
His family said he had decades of award-winning service with the post office.
