KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Power problems at Kansas City International Airport caused some minor delays in morning flights.
The power went out on the tarmac outside Terminal B at about 5:30 a.m., causing some issues for flights on Southwest and Delta.
A spokesman with Delta Airlines says eight flights were impacted – none more than an hour – and the issue has been resolved.
Southwest also experienced a brief outage inside at about the same time, but power was restored within about a half-hour, KCI spokesman Joe McBride said.
Flyers are encouraged to check their flight status on www.flykci.com .
