KANSAS CITY, Mo. - When a 14-year-old girl collapsed during a Royals game at Kauffman Stadium, a member of the K Crew stepped up to the plate and performed CPR.
The medical emergency occurred in the upper deck during Thursday night's game against the Angels. A nurse who volunteers as part of the Royals' first aid team performed CPR and resuscitated the girl on the scene, according to a team spokesman.
The 14-year-old was rushed to Children's Mercy Hospital. There's no word on the extent of her injuries, or what exactly caused the emergency.
