KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Several Park Hill High School students were ushered off a school bus in Kansas City when the front of the bus caught fire Monday morning.
It happened around 7:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 29 at 72nd Street.
Only one northbound lane was getting by past the scene of the fire.
When Skytracker arrived overhead, heavy smoke and some small flames could be seen coming from the front of the bus.
All the students and the driver were able to get off the bus safely.
A second bus had arrived on scene to take the children to school.
