KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A police escort accompanied some of the more high-profile future inhabitants of the new SEA LIFE Aquarium at Crown Center Friday afternoon.
More than 5,000 creatures will call the 130,000 gallon tank at SEA LIFE home, including the black tip sharks and Atlantic rays that arrived Friday.
The sea creatures were stabilized and unloaded off the truck and into the tank, a process that took about two hours, according to SEA LIFE officials.
The aquarium is set to open on April 6.
