KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Stop The Killing K.C. organization is holding a event at the Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Center on Saturday morning to help put an end to killing in Kansas City.

The event started at 11 a.m.  It's designed to keep the peace in the community and reclaim the community for a safe and better Kansas City.

Several metro organizations, including Aim 4 Peace and the Peace Keepers are participating the stop the violence initiative.

"The stop the killing initiative is designed to change the minds of young people by engaging them in the lives of positive adults, like Marcus Williams.  Williams is the president of Triple 777 Construction.  He believes everyone in the community should serve young people.

"We have to step up, we have to do more," said Williams.
