TONGANOXIE, Kan. - A round of thunderstorms rolled through the metro, and lightning strikes reportedly knocked out power to about 1,600 customers in Tonganoxie Monday evening.

Weststar Energy reports that a number of lightning strikes knocked out power to customers in the western part of the city shortly after 7 p.m.

Officials say they hope to restore all power by about 10:45 p.m.
