KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Thousands of basketball fans will descend on downtown Kansas City during the Big 12 basketball tournament on Wednesday, March 7 through March 11, and several streets will be closed.
Here are the closings:
-Grand Boulevard (between 13th Street and Truman Road): closed starting at 10 a.m. Monday, March 5, through midnight on Sunday, March 11.
-14th Street (between Walnut Street and Grand Boulevard): closed starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, through midnight on Sunday, March 11.
-Walnut Street (between 13th and 14th streets): closed starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, through midnight on Sunday, March 11.
City officials encourage drivers to allow for extra time when traveling through downtown.
