KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Tuesday night, technology leaders from around the region met at Boulevard Brewing co., to discuss how Google Fiber will impact the metro.
Google Fiber is the new high speed internet coming to the area.
Many of the tech leaders at the conference, including senior vice president of Cerner, Bill Graff, hopes the city will do everything it can to promote this new technology.
"Google's going to bring an opportunity for Kansas City to have a spotlight on it for a short period of time. I think Kansas City needs to step up to the challenge to promote the great things we do as a city, and as a community across the board", said Graff.
Google Fiber will look to deliver internet up to 100 times faster than what we have now.
