Two-car crash closes Highway 92 in rural Platte County

PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. - A head-on crash in rural Platte County closed down a highway and injured at least three people Thursday night.

Kansas City, Mo., firefighters were called out to just east of the intersection of Missouri Highway 92 and the Missouri Highway 45 Spur and reported seeing two cars with major damage.

Crews extricated at least two patients and initially called for a medical helicopter to transport at least one patient.

Platte County Sheriff dispatchers said the road would be closed while crews investigate and clean-up the crash.
