KANSAS CITY, Mo. - One of two people injured in a car crash early Friday in Kansas City had to be cut from the vehicle after it collided with a pole.
The crash happened around 2 a.m. on Ward Parkway at 79th Street.
Both people in the car were taken to area hospitals with what were thought to be non life-threatening injuries.
The northbound lane of Ward Parkway was closed at 81st Street for about two hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
