KANSAS CITY, Missouri - Bad spellers beware. Typo hunters are headed to Kansas City.

Jeff Deck and Benjamin Herson discuss their new book, "The Great Typo Hunt", on Wednesday, September 8, at 6:30 p.m. at The Plaza library branch at 4801 Main street.

The two men set out with markers and chalk to right the errors displayed across America. It’s a search for errors that is not always well received. After fixing the bad grammar on a sign in a fake Native American watchtower, they were charged with defacing federal property and violating criminal statutes.

Along their journey, Deck and Herson also discovered deeper dilemmas involving education, race, history, and how we communicate.

Copies of  "The Great Typo Hunt" will be available for sale at the event, and the authors will sign copies.

A reception will be held at 6:00 p.m. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.
