KANSAS CITY, Missouri - The University of Missouri-Kansas City soccer field transformed into something from a poorly costumed science fiction movie Monday.
More than 600 students gathered to break the Guinness World Record of robot dancing.
“We have to have over four hundred and twenty nine,” says student body President Klassie Alcine.
The event is a way to celebrate the new robot book sorter, a system that sets the university's library apart from many in the nation.
They will have to wait to have the dance verified by Guinness.

Students got home on time Friday afternoon along the bus route from Plaza Middle School, but the journey to school that morning took almost an hour longer.
