KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Crews have repaired a water main break on Troost at Brush Creek Boulevard.
The break created a scene that made some wonder if Mother Nature was to blame.
Water main breaks are nothing new in the metro.
"It looks pretty gnarly," area resident Abraham Diaz said.
At first, cars just drove around it.
"I mean I am in a Subaru, it's cool. I kind of like roughing it,” Diaz said.
Diaz lives less than a block away. His first thought wasn't another water main break.
"A landslide had happened,” he said. "I knew something significant had to have happened by the sheer amount of water that was coming out.”
Crews had the break repaired by 6 a.m. Thursday.
