(CNN) - A Michigan man might need a bigger bowl for what he reeled in last week.
Mike Martin caught a goldfish that weighs over three pounds and measured nearly 15 inches long.
Martin, who has been fishing for 20 years, says he was ice fishing at Lake Saint Clair last Friday when he got a bite.
"Basically, I was doing what I always do, trying to catch perch and I thought I had a big perch on. Um, Definitely not a perch." Martin said.
Martin isn't sure if the fish set any records. The state of Michigan doesn't include goldfish when keeping track of large fish.
For now, Marin plans to mount the fish on his wall.
