(CNN) - Health officials with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention urge citizens to say ‘I do’ to personal health on their big day.
The CDC put up a tongue-in-cheek blog post with a wedding season survival guide filled with tips to maintain health and safety tips for those preparing to take the marriage leap, comparing matrimony to planning for a disaster.
In mock-seriousness the CDC breaks down what to pack in an emergency kit in case of wedding-wounded flower girls, fainting guests and anxious brides. Safety pins and sedatives are advised.
Because of the co-incision of hurricane and wedding seasons, bridal parties are advised to prepare for any and all weather emergencies from rain to tornados.
