MADISON, WIsconsin - Three University of Wisconsin-Madison students are facing fines totaling more than $86,000 for hosting an underage drinking party.
Three weeks ago officers were at a home to bust what they called an uncontrolled party. 300 people were crammed in the basement and spread out around the yard for $5-dollars a cup, all you can drink beer.
Each of three roommates is now cited with 21 counts of serving to minors, 21 counts of encouraging underage drinking and one count of serving alcohol without a permit.
The three may be able to strike a deal to have most of the fine waived if they stay out of trouble for the rest of the year.
