KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Barbers in a mobile barbershop will be looking for Kansas City’s best facial hair at the American Royal World Series of Barbecue.
It’s all part of the seventh annual Wahl Face the Day Tour. Wahl’s Master Barbers will be providing free trims and looking to crown the Wahl Man of Kansas City.
The finely-groomed man will win a $500 prize and compete in the national 2012 Wahl Man of the Year contest.
The Wahl team will be handing out free trims in their 30-foot-long mobile barbershop and looking for the Wahl Man of Kansas City Friday and Saturday at the World Series of Barbecue from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
For each trim performed, Wahl will donate $1 to Movember and Sons , a men's health charity that encourages men to grow a mustache in the month of November to raise awareness for men's health.
The World Series of Barbecue began Thursday and runs through Sunday. It serves as the opening event of the American Royal, a six-week-long event that includes livestock shows, a rodeo and live entertainment.
