National Men Make Dinner Day: Give the guy in your life reins to the kitchen, if you dare

Ladies, this one is for you. Sort of. Well, maybe.

If you’re the woman of the house and are always making dinner, here’s your chance to get the man of the house to get involved in your daily dining. If you’re willing to take that chance, that is.

Thursday, Nov. 1 is National Men Make Dinner Day.

The unofficial holiday is celebrated on the first Thursday of each November and is meant to get men who never took the time to learn how to cook active in the kitchen.

If you’d like to participate, you should know, there are some guidelines to get you by:

• The man can earn bonus points if he doesn’t ask for anything in return.
• The meal should include at least four ingredients and require at least one utensil other than a fork.
• If the recipe comes from somewhere outside of the house (like in a cookbook), that’s another chance for bonus points.
