KANSAS CITY, Mo. - It's a weekend to wear red and celebrate survival - as Go Red For Women Day reminds us that heart disease is the number one killer of women.

Red Dress Dash: Friday, Feb. 3 ,  5 - 7:30 p.m.
Throw on your favorite (or not so favorite) red dress over your winter clothing and Dash on The Plaza in support of women’s heart health.

The first 100 participants to complete the dash will receive a free Go Red t-shirt and goodie bag. All participants will have the opportunity to participate in Picture & A Promise and sign the Tribute Wall. Celebrate your dash at the Granfalloon with a FREE drink and appetizer specials.

There is no cost to participate in this event.

Casting Call : Saturday, Feb. 4, Macy’s Oak Park Mall, 1 - 4 p.m.

The facts are clear. Heart disease is still the No. 1 killer of women, causing more deaths than all forms of cancer combined.

Connect with others and learn how you can help us save a woman’s life today. Share your story - whether you or a loved one has experienced heart disease - for a chance to become a Go Red For Women® spokesperson. NBC Action News anchor Christa Dubull is emcee.

Event includes:
1) Casting Call
2) Free Health Screenings
3) Information on Go Red For Women & the Heart Match program
4) Complimentary Macy’s Gift Cards for first 20 women who share their story on camera
5) Chance to win Macy’s Fragrance Gift Set
